Amazing indoor play area for kids. This place is massive inside and has absolutely loads to offer. Play areas, go-kart section, trampolines, tub slides, toddler areas, role play areas, football area and a very reasonably priced restaurant.
My child is 19 months and sometimes there is hardly anything for that age to do but this place has 2 separate soft plays for toddlers as well as a role play area. The areas are also fenced with gates in and out so they are much more secure.
It is a little bit more expensive than some other soft plays but it is well worth it and justified for what's available. It cost £9.50 for my under 2 and £2 per adult.
The staff are friendly and every now and then different characters will go around to meet the kids.
They offer a loyalty card where your 6th visit is free. This doesn't just work with Fun Shack though as the company own other child activity centers such as inflataspace.
Only issue we had one time was on a hot day it was very hot inside and didn't feel like there was air condition on.
Can't recommend enough.
Had my daughter's birthday there.
It was a wonderful surprise the staff behavior and correspondence. These guys really know what they do, I hope they will never lose the enthusiasm and positive attitude.
On the minus I will add small but important things connected such as there wasn't a fridge to keep the birthday cake and there weren't any forks or plates provided, neither any advise to bring our own. This resulted eating a soft birthday cake on a napkin, actually treating people with mashed birthday cake with napkin.
Terrible, Brought my grandson and his friend after school. Funshack is very overpriced. I paid £12.00 each for the kids for 90 mins and £2.00 for me. The place only had another couple of children in. The play area is good but lacked atmosphere as only half a dozen kids playing. What is the point of having a great place if parents can’t afford to bring their children. By the time I paid for food, drinks and sweets I had spent approximately £45.00 for 90 mins. Won’t be coming back.
Overall the experience is good and the area is very nice for all kids. I did however find that some rules were enforced and some weren’t. The staff member watching the trampolines did not stop multiple kids entering the trampoline at once, however would not let my 10 yo niece join my 4 yo in the toddler village.
Really good enjoyable experience for the kids and babies. We took our little girl 11 months old and her Aunty and her friend both (10/11) they all enjoyed it. Reasonably priced also. Staff were friendly and helpful. We got some food and the breakfast wasn’t too good there was no beans we found it odd for a place which caters for children to not have beans on the menu to start with but it ruined the breakfast for us. But however I got loaded salt and chilli fries and they were a little pricey but they were surprisingly really tasty.
We will be coming back again in the future.
Went to the funshak for the first time yesterday. It was for a halloween party and WOW! We had an amazing time. Staff are amazing so friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The girls that were doing the disco and party games danced with the kids for the whole two hours we were there even the lovely staff serving behind the counter danced and had fun in between serving customers. The atmosphere was brilliant and having a two year old granddaughter I've been to a lot of similar places but this one was by far the best! Would totally recommend this play area.
Great place if you or your kid don’t have any disability. Music very loud at 10 am is overwhelming for an adult never mind an autistic kid. I feel like they could definitely advertise quiet hours if they actually cared about the matter.
Had a great time at the Fun Shack in Gateshead!
There are lots of fun things to do soft play, slides trampolines and role play areas. Different areas for different age groups.
There is a nice small cafe where you can get food and drinks.
Will be coming back again soon!
